Physician, Assistant Professor
Primary Care - General Internal Medicine
Department: Internal Medicine
As a primary care physician, I take pride in being my patient’s first contact in their health care journey. I am committed to being their advocate and a collaborative partner in wellness. My goal is to build trusting, long-lasting relationships with my patients and their families.
I am board-certified in internal medicine, and I am a Certified Diplomate in Lifestyle Medicine. I focus on caring for the whole person, not just on treating immediate symptoms. I believe in preventing disease through early intervention, educating patients about healthy habits and empowering them to live their healthiest lives.
My practice includes providing care for acute medical issues, helping patients manage chronic diseases, addressing mental health concerns and offering preventive screenings. I also offer therapeutic lifestyle interventions to address the root causes of many chronic conditions.
Beyond the clinic, my role includes helping to educate and mentor medical students and resident physicians. I’m an assistant clinical professor of Internal Medicine, and a unit director, in The Ohio State University College of Medicine. The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s commitment to advancing health care locally and globally inspires my work every day.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy listening to music, exercising, cooking healthy meals and exploring nature trails. I grew up in northern India and speak Hindi, Punjabi, Kannada and Urdu, in addition to English.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Good experience
Professional and knowledgeable
Pleasant, listened to me for the most part, spent time with me and I didn't feel rushed, thorough. The only thing was the new research about perimenopause that she dismissed.

Always friendly and helpful
Seemed to focus more on my history than my present condition. Wanted to treat previous issues which I had stated are not a problem anymore.
Dr. Ohri spent a good deal of time making sure I had information I needed to help me with some serious problems with my health.
She's ok.
Dr. Ohri is always great to work with. She is so kind and she really listens. I've never had a better doctor.
Dr. Ohri is amazing. She makes me feel at ease and explains test results so I'm very comfortable with them.
