I’m a board-certified allergy and immunology physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I treat patients with rhinitis, asthma, food allergies, eczema, urticaria, nasal polyps and eosinophilic gastrointestinal diseases. I chose this specialty because I enjoy improving my patients’ quality of life. I also love the variety of conditions treated, both common and complex immunological disorders. We collaborate with nearly every other medical specialty in the management of diseases.
I believe in providing evidence-based compassionate care, and in serving as a member of patients’ teams to help develop personalized treatment plans to meet their needs and goals.
I appreciate the opportunity to help educate the next generation of allergists. Teaching medical students and residents has been rewarding, and I pursued the clinician educator track during my residency training, which has allowed me to gain skills to continue teaching throughout fellowship and now as an attending physician. I love that academic medicine forces practitioners to stay up-to-date on the latest medical innovations and the collaboration that comes from working in an academic setting.
I received the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) and American Partnership for Eosinophilic Disorders Best Abstract on Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Diseases Award during my residency, and I was recognized by medical students as an outstanding resident educator during residency training, as well as the Asthma, Allergy and Immunology Resident of the Year. I’m also a recipient of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Annals Fellow in Training Award.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Nguyen has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
