Biography
I’m a board-certified anesthesiologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I care for patients before, during, and after surgery by providing safe and effective anesthesia tailored to everyone’s needs. Whether it’s managing pain, monitoring vital signs, or ensuring comfort during procedures, my goal is to help patients feel supported and confident throughout their surgical experience.
Patients can expect compassionate, high-quality care and clear, honest communication in every encounter. I work closely with a team of skilled surgeons, nurses, and specialists to deliver personalized care that respects each patient’s values and preferences.
In addition to caring for patients, I’m dedicated to teaching and mentoring future physicians. As an associate clinical professor of Anesthesiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, I help train the next generation of anesthesiologists to provide safe, patient-centered care.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Ackermann has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
