About Me
I am a neurologist with subspecialty training in multiple sclerosis and related neuro-immunological disorders of the central nervous system. I chose this specialization because MS affects everyone differently and changes with age. It’s a privilege to use my skills to help improve my patients’ lives.
In my practice, I enjoy getting to know each patient. I’m passionate about finding the best treatment strategies possible depending on each patient’s unique needs and disease characteristics.
My research is focused on aging and MS, specifically how clinical and molecular changes related to aging affect disease progression. The goal of my research is to use evidence-based treatment strategies, incorporated with an individual’s aging biology, to improve care for people with MS and optimize their quality of life.
I enjoy spending my free time with my family and building custom Lego creations.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Very nice
I've had MS for over 30 years & Dr. Zhang is one of my favorite neurologists ever!! He is extremely knowledgeable and is always looking for new ways to improve my quality of life. He's patient & understanding!
I was nervous going in. He made me feel at ease. Spoke to my husband and I like he knew us. Went into great details about their findings. Explained to me what he thought was going on and his recommendations. He took his time and I felt like he listened. That's not something that happens now a days!!! I was very pleased!!!
Excellent
All good.
Dr. Zhang is very thorough and always takes the time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions. He is kind and doesn't make me feel rushed.
Everyone was super nice to me and my wife. It was my first time and I'm hoping the Ocrevus financial part gets resolved because I'd like to come back

He is always very thorough and makes sure you understand everything before he leaves. I also had a billing issue with my MS Med and he got his billing team involved to try to help me resolve the issue.
My care provider has done things directly concerning my MRI and prescriptions.

In all, this was a very positive experience.
Very knowledgeable. Related research. Interesting beyond the purpose of my appointment.
Dr. Zhang has been the only physician in the last 3 or 4 years who actually listened to me explain my symptoms without interruption. I so very much appreciated his willingness to HEAR me.
