COLUMBUS, OH - Due to decreasing COVID-19 and influenza-related illnesses and increasing immunity in the region, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, OhioHealth and Mount Carmel Health System will implement a mask optional policy for asymptomatic patients and visitors beginning Friday, April 14.
Masking may be required for visitors based on specific patient situations, such as when a patient is in isolation. Masks are also recommended for visitors if they are experiencing any respiratory symptoms.
Masking policies differ slightly for each health system. Details of those policies are available on each health system’s website:

Masks will continue to be made available for those who wish to wear them.
