Ohio State Harding Hospital will be holding its Annual Mental Health Fair the week of May 2-6, 2022. This marks the 12th year for this event.

Since 2007, in one format or another, we’ve been working to bring this event to the Ohio State faculty, staff and community to provide education and resources for mental health care.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, we aren’t able to provide a traditional in-person event, but felt it’s too important not to continue this tradition.

In recognition of National Mental Health Awareness month in May, please review the schedule for the following events:

Buckeye Mental Health Bags

Daily from May 2-4, Harding Mental Health Fair committee will be distributing bags with mental health education and resource materials. Learn about opportunities for mental health wellness from the community partners who contributed to the contents of the bag. Below is the schedule of times and locations:

Monday, May 2

6–8 a.m. – HUB on Herrick Drive
2–3:30 p.m. – The James Back Door Conference Entrance

Tuesday, May 3

6–8 a.m. – Dodd Hall
2–3:30 p.m. – Ross Auditorium Lobby

Wednesday, May 4

6–8 a.m. – Brain and Spine Hospital Lobby
2–3:30 p.m. – Park in front of Doan/Rhodes Entrance

Note: Quantities are limited at each location. Limit of 1 bag per person.

Mental health awareness video release and "Ask the Experts" webinar

Thursday, May 5 at noon is the release of our mental health awareness video featuring several members of the Ohio State Harding Hospital Care Team who will share their passion on mental health care as well as why the do what they do.

Immediately following the release please join us for “Ask the Experts” Zoom webinar. This webinar will feature a representative from various specialties within Ohio State Harding Hospital who will answer your questions. This session will be recorded and available for viewing after the live event.

Mental Health Awareness Week Partners

Mental Health Awareness Walk

On Tuesday, May 10, beginning at noon, Ohio State Harding Hospital will hold its Inaugural Annual Mini Mental Health Awareness Walk. The walk will be begin at Harding Hospital and proceed 1.7 miles around Ohio Stadium and back to Harding Hospital.

The first 50 individuals who register and participate in the event will receive a free t-shirt (quantity and sizes are limited). Participants should meet outside the east entrance to Ohio State Harding Hospital, 1670 Upham Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43210, by 11:45 am. The walk will begin promptly at noon.
