About Me
As an obstetrician and gynecologist, I believe in meeting patients where they are to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care. My patients can trust me to be their advocate and I bring compassion, honesty, respect and confidentiality to every encounter.
I provide well-person exams, treat patients during pregnancy and offer contraceptive care. I perform minimally invasive gynecological surgical procedures and hysterectomies and treat patients for conditions such as endometriosis and sexual dysfunction.
My clinical areas of specialty include LGBTQ+ care. I provide general gynecologic care for gender-diverse patients and hormone replacement therapies for gender affirmation. My research interests include post-operative outcomes for gender-affirming hysterectomy.
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and especially the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is like a family. The pursuit of excellence in patient care is inspiring, and I appreciate the support I’ve received both personally and professionally from my colleagues. There is no better place to work. I’m also proud to help train medical students and resident physicians in my role as an assistant professor.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my partner, Kenneth, and our hairless cats. I also enjoy political activism and volunteering, conservation, aquariums, cocktails, vacationing, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Dr. Turner is a wonderful practitioner. He is very familiar with my medical history and clearly explains my health concerns. His caring manner is exceptional.

Dr. Kale Turner is above and beyond the best provider I've ever seen in any capacity. I felt safe with him from the second I met him. I am so impressed and so comfortable with Dr Turner and his staff that I have recommended him to 2 other family members with some complex issues they need assistance with. I talked to him briefly about them and he told me he'd be happy to see them. He gives time and attention to his patients. I wish I had a PCP like him. Mine definitely is not.

Great experience! Dr. Turner was funny, knowledgable, and made me feel completely comfortable. I previously had a not-so-great experience with another provider when I lived in another state to do the same procedure. This experience was TOTALLY different and Dr. Turner had me in and out of the room in no time!
Dr. Turner is the best gynecologist I've ever had by leaps and bounds. He is intentional and receptive, taking my needs and preferences into account without reminder. Possibly the best doctor I've ever seen! I've already recommended him to two different people looking for new providers.
He is covering for my OB so he was okay for the cover appt but would not want him to be my full time OB. Bed side manner was subpar and you can tell he doesn't have a ton of experience.

My care provider was Awesome loved loved loved his energy as soon as he hit the door. Nurse wasn't even out room for a half a minute and he came in ready and prepared. Had already read all my history, listened and just very comfortable with me and wasn't all awkward. Told several of my friends about him and was glad I took a chance on someone new! Excited about him being my provider
