About Me
I specialize in physical medicine and rehabilitation and sub-specialize in sports medicine. I am passionate about helping athletes of all levels recover from injury and return to the activities they love. In my role at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I commonly treat patients for acute musculoskeletal injuries such as sprains and ligamentous injuries. Additionally, I address conditions including tendonitis (tendinopathy), osteoarthritis and back pain. I serve as one of the team physicians for Olentangy Liberty High School.
In addition to my clinical and sideline responsibilities, I am involved in efforts to improve patient care on a wider scale. I have co-authored book chapters, and I regularly present at national conferences. I’m a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine, and the Association of Academic Physiatrists, and other professional organizations.
I proudly help educate the next generation of physicians as a clinical assistant professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in the College of Medicine. I teach musculoskeletal ultrasound and assist with resident education.
Outside of work, I love practicing yoga, cycling, hiking and traveling. I’ve completed six marathons and now focus on training for half marathons and lifting. I also enjoy sewing, baking and spoiling my three dogs.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Benjamin has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
Professional and knowledgeable
Excellent
Great experience
Dr B is by far one of my fav doctors ever
Excellent bedside manner
Went out of her way to listen to me and to explain her diagnosis
Very personable and knowledgeable
Showed concern when given me a shot
Dr. Benjamin is amazing. She takes all the time needed to answer questions, explain treatments, and is Avery caring person.
She listened to my complaint and made it clear of what our plan needed to be
She wasn't there for very long and it felt like she had not even looked at my med history.
Excellent experience, dr was great!
Good experience
Ok
Felt that my pain was not resolved, but yet no further appointments were recommended.
Just met her through urgent care. I really like her a lot. She's personable, she worked out my appointment and added me in to get my treatment done sooner.I'm very pleased
Nothing bad- she is kind, approachable, knowledgeable. I would Highly recommend her to anyone needing her expertise
This was my first steroid injection and I did not know what to expect. It was a quick procedure with very little discomfort and so far a good result.
Good service
There were a lot of weird, unexpected questions about my name and pronouns. But my provider was really understanding and helpful. She didn't seem to have my medical history, though, because I had to mention that I have had surgery on this same knee about 10 years ago. She explained everything to me very well, though. And understood my concern about my knee instability.
Very good experience
She was very relatable and understood how hard it is to get fitted sports rehab equipment for women bc our bodies are different
Great
She seemed very knowledgeable and wasn't in a hurry.
She was great and very informative. So was her resident
She is awesome! The intern she had with her that day was also incredible!!She is the 1st Dr that has actually attempted to diminish the pain and look for further treatment and answers
I liked dr's gentle tone and reassurance
Very pleasant, considerate, efficient, and personable.
