Biography

I am a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty in sports medicine and shoulder surgery. I always take the time to thoroughly understand each patient’s concerns and expectations. I provide clear explanations of the diagnosis and treatment options, which can range from nonoperative solutions to minimally invasive arthroscopic or open surgeries for patients of all ages.

I’m passionate about alleviating my patients’ pain and improving their function. Whether they’re dealing with a recent injury or a chronic issue, I focus on understanding their specific goals and helping them return to the activities they love.

I’ve had the privilege of serving as a team physician for athletes at all levels, including time spent working with the New York Giants, and now, with the Ohio State Buckeyes football team. These experiences continue to shape the way I care for every patient. Whether the patient is a high school or college athlete, a weekend warrior or someone simply looking to move through daily life with less pain, I provide thoughtful, personalized care that aligns with their unique needs. I deliver the same level of attention and expertise to each patient so they can return to their sport, activity or routine with confidence.

When I’m not in the clinic or operating room, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing tennis and hiking.

He seemed distracted or in his own head trying to figure things out without really listening to me or asking other questions. I had more information to give and he seemed like he knew more about my body than me even though I told him I was able to tell previous drs about when I had tears in my tendons and that I'm aware and know my body and when something is wrong. He wanted to do a shot and told me to take ibuprofen. I pushed for an MRI and I just got the results and sure enough I have a tear. I understand Dr. Rauck is the one with the degree in this area, but I know my body. It's actually made very nervous to go back to him because I don't know if he will listen to me even after proving I have a tear.
