Experience and Interests

During Toni’s master’s program, she co-founded Diverse-OT, an organization that aims to advance the cultural climate within occupational therapy programs across the country by providing opportunities for discussion and education on equity and inclusion. Following graduation, Toni joined the acute care team at Ohio State, working with general medicine, hepatology, and geriatric services before moving over to Harding Hospital to focus on psychiatric care.

Toni is trained in the motivational interview framework and mindfulness-based stress reduction, and her interests lie in sensory-based interventions for people with mood disorders and mild cognitive impairment in older adults. Toni is passionate about delivering high-quality and client-centered services, health equity and justice, and enjoys assisting clients achieve their personal goals.
