Experience and Interests
As a board certified neurologic clinical specialist, Katlyn is a member of the Brain Injury Team, Parkinson’s Disease Team, and provides comprehensive physical therapy to patients who have sustained a Spinal Cord Injury. She also carries an additional certification, LSVT BIG, in Parkinson’s specific training. Katlyn is an APTA credentialed Clinical Instructor, which allows her to execute her passion for mentoring and teaching the future generation of physical therapists. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, APTA Neurologic Section, and Ohio Chapter. In addition, Katlyn enjoys giving back to OSU’s Neurologic Residency program by guest lecturing at their Neurologic Residency Conferences.
Katlyn is certified and trained with multiple rehab technologies including body weight-support locomotor training, Bioness, FES cycling and xCite in order to provide evidence-based, recovery focused therapeutic interventions. Katlyn is very passionate about increasing her patient’s confidence in managing and overcoming their diagnosis, while encouraging engagement in community-based exercise and activity programs for improved overall quality of life.
