Wendy Koesters, PT, ATP/SMS, is a physical therapist in Ohio State's Assistive Technology Center. Her experience includes team-approached treatment with both stroke and brain injury for inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings. With these roles, she focuses on evaluation, implementation and treatment of overuse injury and skin breakdown for people using adaptive equipment. She has certifications as an assistive technology practitioner and seating and mobility specialist.
She shares her time with the outpatient rehab center, treating both orthopedic and neurologic patients, plus neuromuscular disease research. She is a mentor for treating therapists in our expanding clinic. Wendy makes presentations on seating and mobility for Ohio State's continuum from acute rehab outpatient with the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, and in the community. She regularly mentors medical students in seating and positioning principles.
