Amanda’s interest in dance and physical therapy developed in high school after rehabilitating from an injury, as an injured dancer herself. Although she initially considered being a dance major in college, she decided to focus her studies in Kinesiology and earned both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from James Madison University. She then graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Marymount University in 2014. Since graduating with her DPT, she became board certified in orthopaedics. After several years in the outpatient physical therapy setting, she realized she could combine her two passions, dance and physical therapy, and pursued the Performing Arts Physical Therapy Fellowship at Ohio State University. She completed the Fellowship in 2020 and has stayed on at OSU to continue pursuing her dream of treating performing artists.
