Experience and Interests
As a former Division I athlete including 17 years of gymnastics, Kristy has experienced physical therapy from the athlete’s point of view, providing great insight during her treatment at our Ohio State campus location.
Her clinical interests include utilizing the McKenzie Method which empowers the patient utilizing self-treatment and prevention strategies. Other areas of focus include injury prevention, sports-related injuries, and injuries of the spine.
Kristy is the team lead for evidence-based practice in the department of Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation. In addition to this role, she is actively involved in research and has been published in areas of ACL reconstruction and clinical outcomes.
In addition to her clinical roles, she is an assistant professor of clinical practice in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at The Ohio State University where she teaches in the evidence-based practice curriculum. Personally, she enjoys traveling, watching sports, and spending time with her family.
