Experience and Interests

Melissa attended Ohio University where she received her Bachelor of Science and her Master of Physical Therapy, as well as competing on the Bobcats Cross Country and Track & Field teams. Following graduation from OU, she completed her Athletic Training Certification. Melissa has been practicing physical therapy for over 20 years, with 16 of these years being at Ohio State. She is a board certified specialist in orthopedic physical therapy. She is the lead of OSU’s endurance medicine team and specializes in working with endurance athletes, from runners, cyclists, swimmers and triathletes. She specializes in Video running gait analysis, bike fittings and orthotics fabrications.

Melissa continues to enjoy running, in which she competed throughout high school, college and post-collegiately. Her personal bests are as follows: Marathon 2:52:00, Half marathon 1:17, 10K 36:01, 5K 16:29; Mile 5:01.
