Seeing every patient as a chance to make a meaningful connection

Imaging Manager Andrea Burt has been part of direct patient care through many services and departments during her tenure at Ohio State and appreciates being able to play a vital role in each patient journey.

Andrea spends much of her time educating patients and answering questions about the radiology she provides.

“With patient care at the forefront of our mission, I enjoy creating a connection with them in the small amount of time they spend with me,” she says. “Earning their trust and seeing their smile of appreciation and gratitude for the care provided is priceless.”

Not only does Andrea play a large part in patient care, but she also leads her team with grace and open-mindedness.

“I found the desire to support our imaging teams by leading and developing our talented technologists by teaching, mentoring and improving processes to serve our patients better,” she says. “I also enjoy the collaboration between departments to provide the best service and optimal care to our patients and their families.”

Andrea finds motivation easy at Ohio State Outpatient Care New Albany, saying, “I’m inspired to come to work every day by the acknowledgment and upward mobility achieved from my work ethic and commitment to our patients and organization.”
