Biography
I first came to Ohio State as a neuroradiology fellow in July 2008 and subsequently joined the clinical faculty. Having completed postgraduate training at here, I feel a sense of loyalty to the university and a strong desire to leverage my experiences to enhance the training of other radiologists. I currently serve as the associate program director of the Neuroradiology Fellowship Program and am a member of the diagnostic radiology residency selection and interviewing committee. I'm also the founding chief of the Ohio State chapter of RAD-AID, an international not-for-profit global outreach organization for radiology.
In addition to my role as a diagnostic neuroradiologist, I also contribute to Ohio State's mission of education and research. I'm a manuscript reviewer for Neurographics, the primary educational journal of my subspecialty society, and am a member of an American College of Radiology (ACR) Appropriateness Criteria Expert Panel. I was the lead author on a study examining a training regimen designed to improve healthcare professionals’ advanced communication skills and their ability to apply nonpharmacologic methods to reduce anxiety in patients undergoing potentially stressful medical procedures, which resulted in a Best Paper award for 2017 in Training and Education by the Journal of the ACR.
