Due to ongoing concerns about COVID-19, we have implemented new visitor restrictions to ensure the health and safety of our patients, their families and our staff. Some entrances may be closed and all visitors are subject to health screenings.

We are a 900-bed hospital that offers patients the latest in care, research and technology. Wexner Medical Center Garage Opening Postponed to Dec. 21
The Wexner Medical Center Garage opening has been postponed to Dec. 21. The new garage will open at 4 a.m.
- Thursday, Dec. 17: Emergency Department patients and visitors will be directed to use the SAFEAUTO Garage.
- Friday, Dec. 18: No entry into South Cannon Garage after 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Dec. 19: All vehicles must be out of the South Cannon Garage by noon. The James will provide free valet for patients and visitors of The James.
- Sunday, Dec. 20: The James will provide free valet for patients and visitors of The James.
- Monday, Dec. 21: North Cannon Garage closes at 3 p.m.
- Tuesday, Dec. 22: All vehicles must be out of the North Cannon Garage by 8 a.m.
To accommodate patients and visitors parking in the new garage, we’ll begin running The James Parking Shuttle at 4 a.m. Dec. 21. The new shuttle will make three stops: at The James and at both the north and south ends of the Wexner Medical Center Garage. It will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The existing Patient Courtesy Shuttle will be available to transport patients and visitors from the garage to other Wexner Medical Center facilities.
Valet service is located at its main entrance at 450 W. 10th Ave. It is available for $8 Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Parking Discounts for Patients and Their Visitors
Patients and their visitors will pay a reduced fee for all garages in the medical center (12th Avenue, SAFEAUTO, South Cannon and North Cannon). Parking validations can be obtained at registration or at any Information Desk located throughout the hospital. You must bring your garage ticket with you for proper validation. Free transportation is also available for patients and visitors to and from the medical center garages and buildings.

Parking for People with Disabilities
Parking for people with disabilities is available next to the building and in all garages on the medical center campus. Additional parking is located in the SAFEAUTO Garage at 1585 Westpark St. It is connected to the Medical Center by a second-floor covered walkway. For those with mobility challenges, please drop off at Davis Outpatient Care entrance on Medical Center Drive before parking your vehicle.

- Patient pick-up and drop-off is located at entrance of Rhodes Hall, 450 W. 10th Ave.
Huntington is located on the first floor of Doan Hall near the 12th Avenue Parking Garage.
Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Friday. A full range of financial services are available.

Visiting a Patient
For the comfort of our patients, only two visitors are permitted at any one time. Talk with the charge nurse in your unit if you would like to have additional visitors. All visitors must be free of illness. In areas where overnight visitors are allowed, visitors must wear an identification badge at all times. Patient visitation is not restricted on the basis of age, ethnicity, religion, culture, language, physical or mental disability, socioeconomic status, sex, sexual orientation and gender identity or expression.

Visiting a patient
Visitation is 24 hours a day in most areas of the hospital, but please check with the staff in the patient care unit to confirm the policy for that area. From 10 p.m.-5 a.m., patients are limited to one visitor. Intensive Care Unit hours vary.
Children are able to visit when accompanied and properly supervised by a non-patient adult at all times. The child is considered one of the two patient visitors. Children may visit the Intensive Care Unit patients by checking with staff first.
