Arsad Karcic, MD, FACC, is a cardiologist and an assistant professor of clinical internal Medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Karcic earned his medical degree at the University of Zagreb in Croatia. He completed his residency and a fellowship at Nassau University Medical Center in New York where he was awarded Fellow of the Year. He also completed a fellowship at the Lahey Clinic in Massachusetts.
Dr. Karcic is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Internal Medicine and the American Medical Association and is an associate member of the American College of Cardiology.
He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and in nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Karcic’s clinical interests include coronary artery disease and valvular heart disease.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. I met with my provider to learn the if I would be a good candidate for a shoulder replacement. My provider went over my records regarding a cardiac Cath I recently had done at OSU. My provider checked my heart, and lungs and pulse and blood pressure, and gave me the green light to have the shoulder surgery. It was a very good meeting.

I waited less than five minutes for Dr. Karcic to arrive in the exam room. He greeted me in a friendly manner, and we discussed my health. His stethoscope examination was much more prolonged than my PCP but gave me a 'thumbs up' afterwards and said everything sounded good. He listened about my concern about resting more when I worked outside (I'm 76) and said that was a good practice. There is nothing bad I can say about this visit with Dr. Karcic.
