Biography
I am a board-certified internal medicine physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where I care for hospitalized patients. I know that being in the hospital can feel stressful, scary, and uncertain. My goal is to support you and your family during this time where you need it the most by providing compassionate and thoughtful care.
I take the time to listen carefully, explain things clearly, and make sure you feel heard and supported. I work closely with a team of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create a care plan that fits your unique needs and helps you heal as fully and safely as possible, as quickly as possible.
In addition to caring for patients, I also teach medical students and residents as an Assistant Clinical Professor at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I am also passionate about improving the way our hospital delivers care so that every patient receives the highest level of care that they all deserve.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Rai has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
