As a general obstetrician and gynecologist, I’m passionate about providing exceptional care and empowering my patients to live their best lives. I love my job and I’m committed to creating a safe space where each patient knows they are truly cared for and heard.
I feel very lucky to be able to support my patients in what is such an important part of their lives: their reproductive health. My patients trust me to help them navigate pregnancy, painful periods, vaginal disorders and menopause. I also treat conditions like endometriosis, fibroids and pelvic pain, and provide contraception and preconception counseling.
My research is focused on racial and ethnic inequities in OB/GYN care. I’m also interested in how social determinants influence pregnancy outcomes and finding strategies to improve those outcomes.
As part of this mission, I’ve had the pleasure of leading The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Moms2B program. It’s the best part of my job! I love working with the moms, many of whom I also treat throughout their pregnancies.
I’m also part of Ohio State’s Community Care Coach program, which decreases barriers to quality health care by providing mobile health services to people in their neighborhoods. I’m the lead physician for the women’s health service line.
These programs are a big part of why I love being at Ohio State. I have the most amazing partners who share my passion for providing the best care possible to all patients.
Education has always been a passion of mine. Before I became a physician, I taught high school biology. In my current position, I enjoy mentoring and training The Ohio State University College of Medicine’s medical students and residents. I serve as a Learning Communities faculty leader and Longitudinal Practice Preceptor within the Ohio State College of Medicine. I’m also a member of the admissions committee.
In my free time, I love building Lego projects with my son and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy baking cookies and cakes, listening to live music, dancing, traveling and checking out new art exhibits.
Please note: Not all physicians schedule patients at each listed location.
I am a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I am Interim Division Director for the for the Division of General Obstetrics & Gynecology as well as an assistant professor. I also serves as Medical Director of the Moms2B program.
My career and research interests include eliminating racial and ethnic inequities in reproductive health care. This includes improving access to quality health care in all communities. I am the principal investigator on a state grant-funded project to investigate experiences of discrimination of Black birthing people in their prenatal care. I also serve on the Health Equity Steering Committee for the Ohio Maternal Safety Quality Improvement Project.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
