About Me
I specialize in emergency medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I serve as director of geriatric emergency care, which involves overseeing the Level I Geriatric Emergency Department. My patients can rely on me for high-quality, compassionate treatment and trust that I will do everything possible to help them recover and return to their regular activities.
My clinical practice complements my research, which is focused on improving care for older adults. This includes working to enhance diagnostic accuracy with an emphasis on pneumonia and high-order drug interactions. My research is supported by a K76 award from the National Institute on Aging (NIA), and I am co-investigator on two NIA R01s.
I am an assistant professor of Emergency Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I serve as the president of the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine’s (SAEM) Academy of Geriatric Emergency Medicine, and I was elected to the board of trustees for the SAEM Foundation. I am also on the board of governors for the American College of Emergency Physicians' (ACEP) geriatric emergency department accreditation. Through these roles, I hope to positively impact emergency medicine, improve care for patients and help mentor our students, residents and upcoming leaders in the field.
