Biography
I’m an otolaryngology – head and neck surgeon specializing in rhinology and endoscopic skull base surgery. This field is especially interesting to me because in recent years, we’ve been able to offer much more minimally invasive options for patients with complex medical problems. It gives me a lot of satisfaction when I can tell a patient that the entire operation can take place through their nose, therefore avoiding scars on their face.
I was drawn to otolaryngology because I’m passionate about helping my patients better interact with the world around them. I love coming to work every day knowing I have the opportunity to improve someone’s quality of life.
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is a special place to work because of its collaborative, patient-centered culture, its focus on academic medicine and its commitment to research. Working here provides me with the opportunity to teach and mentor residents and medical students, in addition to focusing and evolving my research efforts on inflammatory sinonasal diseases.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside. I especially love hiking and kayaking.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Dr. Kelley was great, I came in with an emergency and she was doing surgery on me less than 2 hrs later
She was nice and informative on how I should be taking my medicine
Dr Kelly is awesome!!!
Dr. Kelly is an excellent surgeon with warm bedside manner. I healed incredibly quickly after my septoplasty and inferior turbinate reduction with her. If highly recommend her.
The provider was very knowledgeable about my condition
Everyone was great
Love Dr Kelly! She is very straight forward in her approach and tries alternatives to surgery before suggesting it.
Very Good
All the providers have been outstanding! I've had Dr. Kelly, Dr. Ghalib, and Dr. Prevedello. All amazing doctors! Not only are they very knowledgeable they are all super kind, caring, and truly listen to all my concerns. I can really tell they care for me and my health. That is so hard to find in doctors. I've been very pleased with all 3 of them.
Very good
My care provider was noticeably condescending and dismissive throughout my visit. She acted as though I should know exactly what to tell her without her asking any clarifying questions. After I explained why I was there, she abruptly responded that she "didn't understand what I was telling her versus why I'm here," despite the explanation being clear. When I told her that one of my nostrils collapses when I breathe in, she asked, "Do you have breathing problems or not?" She then immediately commented that "only people with breathing problems get the surgery," even though I had never mentioned surgery at all. This felt completely unprompted and made the conversation uncomfortable. While reviewing my medications, I told her I use Flonase during the summer for allergies. She questioned why I wasn't using it year-round for my nose. When I said I thought it was only for allergies, she responded, "No, you should always be taking that. That's not just a summer thing," and said it in a way that implied I should have already known this. She offered very little explanation overall.I also mentioned that one nostril consistently gets drier than the other, and she told me it was because that nostril gets more airflow. This didn't make sense, because I had already told her the nostril that collapses-and therefore gets less air-is the one that gets drier. It felt like she wasn't listening to what I was actually describing.Overall, I left the appointment feeling unheard, dismissed, and confused, rather than supported or informed.
Dr. Kelly was awesome. My surgery went well and I have no complaints.
All good
