Biography
I joined The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Department of Family and Community Medicine in July 2019. I completed both my internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the White River Junction VA Medical Center in Vermont, and worked in primary care psychology at the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center for several years before coming to Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. Most of my professional efforts are clinical, including providing consultation for the residents at the Ohio State Primary Care Thomas Rardin and supervision of psychology fellows. I also serve as the Behavioral Health Director of the Family and Community Medicine Residency Program.
I practice integrative therapy, offering primarily cognitive-behavioral interventions combined with mindfulness, and utilizing trauma-based interventions when needed. I enjoy working alongside patients to increase awareness and understanding of patterns that may be getting in the way of their goals and applying interventions aimed at changing these thoughts and behaviors.

Academics and research
I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2014 from Indiana State University. I completed an APA-accredited internship in 2014 and postdoctoral fellowship in 2015 at the Whiter River Junction Veterans Affairs Medical Clinic. My fellowship was generalist based with an emphasis on Primary Care and Health Psychology. Following completion of my fellowship, I accepted a position with the Chalmers P. Wylie VA in 2015 and moved to Columbus.
I am trained in a number of evidence based practices and practice primarily from a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach. My interest areas, since fellowship, have focused on primary care and health psychology, with certifications in Cognitive-Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, Primary Care Mental Health Integration/Co-located Collaborative Care, Problem Solving Therapy, and CBT for Insomnia. I especially enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team to bring an integrative approach to patient care.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Lacy has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
