Biography

A fascination with science led me to a career in medicine, but it was an appreciation for people that inspired me to become a primary care physician. I now serve as the lead physician for Outpatient Care New Albany General Internal Medicine.

It’s a privilege to be able to build relationships with my patients and to support them through their health journeys. I’m passionate about educating my patients about all of their individualized treatment options and empowering them to make healthy choices in their lives. In addition to primary and preventive care, I also specialize in chronic disease management, preoperative medicine and women’s health.

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is a very special place to work because there are abundant opportunities to continue to learn and grow as physicians. I love working with teams of highly motivated people who challenge me to deliver the best care possible every day.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy traveling and exploring new places. I grew up in Japan and also like to read Japanese novels.

Professional, knowledgeable, my best interests important

I had a question about lower abdominal pain which my visit with my OBGYN that same morning suggested I speak with the provider about as well. I mentioned it to her and she did not discuss it she stated that I should speak with my regular PC on my next appointment. That was very disappointing for me because it could be life threatening and my next appointment with my regular PC was a month away. I was scheduled with her because my PC didn't have any availability. I was expecting the same thorough treatment I would have gotten from my regular PC.
