Biography
As a hepatologist at Ohio State, I treat patients with abnormal liver tests, hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver and other liver diseases. I am honored to be part of this interesting field and help patients through a potentially stressful part of their lives. I strive to provide very thorough and attentive care with a focus on every patient's individual goals. Establishing a friendly, trusting relationship with my patients is extremely important.
My favorite part about working here at Ohio State is interacting with so many different people. I enjoy helping people to understand their condition and achieve better health.
When I’m not working, I like to spend time with my wife, family and friends. I enjoy running, cross country skiing, music and watching sports of all kinds.

Dr. Kelly and I had a great conversation about my health issues. He is always knowledgeable about my autoimmune disease and the complications that can arise. We discussed my medications and ordered test. He gave me guidance on my test results right away. I am very comfortable with him as my doctor and feel blessed to be in his care.

All things very happy with him and care I dont know about Bob the nurse (I've never met) I'm sure he is very busy but we had perfect care up to him with all of the post transplant nurses until this My care on the 10th floor of the hospital after surgery was more than anything I could have expected in every way OSU Wexner Ctr. Is lucky to have those people

Dr Kelly was fantastic. This was my first visit to a hepatologist, after a diagnosis of Autoimmune Hepatitis. Dr Kelwas friendly and caring. He Spent a good deal of time explaining the disease and what I should expect. I left the appointment with much more confidence due to his information.

Sean Kelly is the best. It is difficult to schedule an appointment with him instead of a NP.
We discussed whether or not I was a good candidate for a new MASH therapy recently approved. Also discussed my risk factors and reasons for certain tests/monitoring to ensure early detection of potential issues so treatment can be implemented if needed quickly to address any risks
