I am an endocrinologist specializing in diagnosing and treating metabolic bone and mineral disorders including osteoporosis, and Paget’s disease. I help patients manage diabetes, and I treat disorders affecting the thyroid, adrenal and pituitary glands. I also see patients in a dedicated Fragility Fractures Clinic every Friday here at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Ahmed Elmaaz has reported no relationships with companies or entities.

Friendly and nice
The doctor though it was my first time. Seeing him, he was very good at listening to all of my concerns. And addressing all of my issues, thank you very much. I truly appreciate your honesty and openness with me about my health.
He didn't show any concern for the reasons I was there, I have some serious health concerns and have been trying for over four years to get an appointment with this kind of provider.
