Biography
I am a gastroenterologist who specializes in caring for patients with diverse gastroenterology diseases. I diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal (GI) diseases, including celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux disease, diarrhea, and constipation. I also perform upper endoscopies and colonoscopies to aid in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of various GI diseases.
My approach to patient care is grounded in thoughtful, individualized and evidence-based medicine. I strive to ensure that each patient feels heard, respected and fully informed. Open, honest communication and compassionate collaboration with patients and their families are central to my practice. I strongly encourage patients to take active roles in their health, and I welcome questions – especially when something feels unclear or uncertain.
In addition to my clinical work, I am committed to medical education. I enjoy teaching and mentoring medical students, resident physicians and fellows, and I am excited to continue growing as a clinician-educator at Ohio State.
Outside of medicine, I value time with family and friends, enjoy walking and strength training and am actively involved in my church community.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Bery has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
