Biography

I am double board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Pain Medicine. I earned my medical degree at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, completed my residency training in PM&R at The Ohio State University, and went on to complete an interventional Pain Medicine fellowship at MetroHealth/Case Western Reserve University. I am a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

My clinical practice focuses on the interventional management of chronic pain, with expertise in treating neck, back, and joint pain. I specialize in image-guided procedures and neuromodulation, such as spinal cord stimulation. I am committed to using non-opioid treatment strategies with an emphasis on exercise and lifestyle modifications to support long-term pain relief and functional improvement.

I believe in a compassionate, patient-centered, and evidence-based approach to care. I work closely with each individual to create a treatment plan that aligns with their goals and values. My aim is to help patients reduce pain, restore function, and improve their overall quality of life.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children. I also enjoy traveling, snowboarding, and DIY projects.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Olney has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
