About Me

I am a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in surgical oncology care. I primarily treat breast cancer patients in my current role at the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center.

While a breast cancer diagnosis can be devastating, my patients and their families can rely on me for support throughout this process. I help my patients understand the diagnosis and treatment options and I connect them with the support services they need. I feel blessed to be able to use my skills to help people through their cancer journey.

I have spent the majority of my 24-year nursing career at the OSUCCC – James caring for patients with a variety of cancers. The care offered at The James is highly individualized, with a multidisciplinary team of highly trained experts working together to help each patient obtain the best outcomes. This institution is truly unparalleled in providing the most comprehensive care possible and I am proud to be part of it.

Oh my gosh, Ann is amazing and Colleen is amazing as well. They have seen me at my worst and my best. They always give me support and wonderful care when I need it most. They also celebrate my victories with my best cancer journey.

Appointment was a follow up to my mammogram which was clear. Ann is very caring and a wonderful care provider. I have never had cancer.

I have had multiple appointments with the surgeon but always get a nurse practitioner instead, without any explanation as to why the dr isn't available and I am not given an opportunity to speak with the dr later. The cnp is always great, I'd just rather be given the option to schedule with them or wait longer for the dr and/or some option to actually see the dr if that is who the appointment is with.

These answers are directed towards Dr. Valerie Grignol. She NEVER attends my appointments scheduled with her and always sends in her CNP instead. I adore and appreciate Ann M. (CNP) but I feel very neglected by Dr. Grignol as if I'm not worthy of her time and presence.

Ann was very easy to talk to. I had some concerns about other health issues and she was very encouraging in her words and advice that she gave to me.
