I am Anna Kamp, MD, and I specialize in congenital electrophysiology, adult congenital heart disease and cardiac rhythm disorders (arrythmias) at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. My practice focuses on patients with congenital heart conditions across the lifespan, with particular expertise in heart rhythm issues affecting children and adults with congenital heart disease.
Because every patient’s heart anatomy, surgical history and treatment journey are unique, I value taking a patient-centered approach that addresses each individual’s specific needs and goals. I work closely with other specialists in adult congenital heart disease and electrophysiology to provide coordinated, comprehensive care.
My practice focuses on patients with congenital heart conditions. Particularly, I help patients who had congenital heart surgery or intervention and who later develop arrythmias. But I also care for children and adults with repaired, unrepaired or newly diagnosed congenital heart disease.
Working in academic medical centers has allowed me to care for patients with complex congenital heart disease through the life span while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and utilizing advanced technologies and research opportunities that support the highest quality care. As the adult congenital heart disease population has grown and evolved, my practice has evolved alongside it, focusing increasingly on the needs of adults living with congenital heart disease.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I serve as director of Adult Congenital Electrophysiology. I also serve as vice-chair of the Ohio State College of Medicine USMLE Committee.
In addition to my clinical practice, I am committed to advancing education and research in congenital cardiology and electrophysiology. I have taught future pediatric and congenital cardiologists, and I have contributed to national and international efforts to improve arrhythmia care for adults with congenital heart disease. This includes holding leadership roles within professional societies, developing best-practice recommendations for comprehensive adult congenital heart disease electrophysiology programs, conducting collaborative, multicenter research and participating in clinical practice guideline development.
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care.
