My passion for family medicine began during the time I spent working in an Afghan refugee camp located in Iran. That same passion lives on inside me today.

I now provide care as a board-certified family practitioner here in the United States, and I am happy to enjoy a unique bond with my patients and their families. This allows me to engage in discussions that focus not only on short-term solutions, but also on long-term health goals. Preventative services including health screenings and behavioral modification are an integral part of my practice.

I enjoy working at The Ohio State University because our goal is to provide the best possible care for all patients. Having the opportunity to work in an academic environment also allows me to more efficiently provide my patients with the most current tests and treatments.

In my free time I enjoy relaxing with my family, reading, enjoying the outdoors and playing the santoor, an Indian musical string instrument.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies, etc. because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 03/25/2016, Dr. Behrooz has reported no financial relationships with medical device, research and/or drug companies, etc. If you have questions about how these relationships are monitored by The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, please contact our Compliance Office at 614-293-7802.
