About Me

My passion for family medicine began during the time I spent working in an Afghan refugee camp located in Iran. That same passion lives on inside me today.

I now provide care as a board-certified family practitioner here in the United States, and I am happy to enjoy a unique bond with my patients and their families. This allows me to engage in discussions that focus not only on short-term solutions, but also on long-term health goals. Preventative services including health screenings and behavioral modification are an integral part of my practice.

I enjoy working at The Ohio State University because our goal is to provide the best possible care for all patients. Having the opportunity to work in an academic environment also allows me to more efficiently provide my patients with the most current tests and treatments.

In my free time I enjoy relaxing with my family, reading, enjoying the outdoors and playing the santoor, an Indian musical string instrument.

She is friendly, approachable, and listens to my concerns.

Dr. Behrooz listens to me. More importantly, she never makes me feel like my health concerns, especially my neurological issues, are unimportant or insignificant. Though I don't have a specific neuro dx outside of essential tremor she listens to my descriptions of symptoms and helps me understand how to address these. She is supportive and has helped me with stress anxiety-treating it, not dismissing it. I feel blessed to have her as a provider.

She was great. I appreciate how she was concerned about my overall mental health and addressed all the correct things that needed addressed about that and my lab results.

She was very thorough. We talked about what blood tests she was ordering and why. Also told me that she would contact me with results which she did. Listened and asked questions when I told her I thought that my hearing was not as good as it should be. She is an excellent physician.
