Biography
I am Austin Grist, DO, and I specialize in primary care, preventive medicine and family healthcare at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. My family medicine practice focuses on caring for children, adults and families across lifespan to help patients achieve healthier lifestyles and improved overall quality of life.
As a physician in the Department of Family Medicine, I provide comprehensive care for a wide range of health concerns including hypertension, diabetes, asthma and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). My clinical interests include primary care, preventive care, pediatric care and newborn care.
In addition to traditional family medicine services, I am board-certified in osteopathic manipulative therapy (OMT). I use osteopathic techniques to help treat a variety of conditions including chronic pain, acute pain, constipation and pregnancy-related pelvic pain.
I am committed to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected and supported throughout their healthcare journeys. My goal is to help each patient improve their quality of life through evidence-based care, patient education and long-term wellness strategies.
My professional highlights include receiving the Excellence in Teaching Award from The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Shadyside.
