Biography
I am a family medicine physician specializing in LGBTQ+ health, gender-affirming care and comprehensive primary care at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. My practice focuses on helping patients of all ages achieve their health goals through personalized, compassionate care that addresses the whole person.
I chose a career in medicine because I am passionate about helping people understand the options that are available to support their health and well-being. I believe everyone deserves access to high-quality care, and I strive to translate the complexities of medicine into information that is clear, practical, and meaningful. I enjoy getting to know my patients, learning about their lives and understanding the details that can have a significant impact on their health.
I am particularly interested in LGBTQ+ health and gender-affirming care, and I have experience caring for patients across a wide range of primary care needs. My clinical interests include contraception and gynecologic care, mental health, addiction medicine, HIV and hepatitis C management, pediatric care, geriatric care and end-of-life care. I also perform skin procedures, and provide foot care, along with treatments for many common primary care conditions.
My approach to care is centered on listening, collaboration and respect. I work closely with patients to understand their goals and develop care plans that support their individual needs, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health.
I completed my medical degree at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and my residency in family medicine at Grant Medical Center.

More about my research
Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Beatrice Carbone has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
