Biography

I am a board-certified infectious disease physician and clinical investigator at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases, including HIV, COVID-19, Hepatitis C and emerging infections.

I am the clinical research site leader of the OSU Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials Unit and I am an investigator in multiple NIH-sponsored and pharmaceutical industry multi-center clinical trials. My areas of clinical investigation include cardiovascular complications of HIV and the use of broadly neutralizing antibodies in HIV cure strategies. I am the Vice-Chair of the Randomized Trial to Prevent Vascular Events in HIV (REPRIEVE) and the Chair of A5389: Two bNAb Combination for Patients Who Started ART During Acute HIV-1 Infection.

My patients can rely on me for expert, compassionate care and clear communication. I work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure each patient receives individualized treatment that supports their health and quality of life.

In addition to my clinical work and research, I serve as a clinical professor of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and I am the leader of the HIV subspecialty track of the OSU Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program. I am actively involved in infectious disease education of medical students, residents and infectious disease fellows.
