About Me

I believe that people should have their care personalized to fit their needs and situation.

I specialize in orthopaedic sports medicine surgery for active people. I enjoy helping people develop, maintain or return to an active lifestyle.

What I’m most proud of at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is our program that addresses anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury treatment, prevention and outcomes. Our research program has resulted in numerous research publications that have helped shape the care of ACL injuries across the country.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking and climbing mountains. I have climbed mountains in Ecuador, Peru, Japan, Tanzania, Switzerland and across the U.S.

I liked him right off the bat. He was very kind and explained everything so that I understood him. I was dreading the fact that I thought I would need knee replacement surgery right away. I was very relived to find out I could get shots to relive my pain. I am very pleased with the doctor.

Chris Kaeding is truly the best surgeon and doctor that I have ever had the pleasure of fixing me. He is so confident, so intelligent and educated, and so kind and caring and reassuring. If I tear another ACL I know who is fixing it again.

I liked that Dr. Kaeding suggested other options besides surgery.

Reviewed on Aug 28, 2018

Dr. Kaeding is exceptional. He cares about his patients. He gave me three choices for what I could do about my problem walking because of two knee scopes on my right knee & arthritis on my left knee. He left the decision up to me. I am doing PT & it is helping me with the pain & my walking & balance.
