About Me
I am a board-certified internal medicine and pediatrics physician specializing in infectious diseases at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I treat all infectious diseases, with a particular focus on comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals with HIV of all ages. Furthermore, I have interests in the management and prevention of infections in patients receiving therapies for cancer as well as HIV prevention in patients of all ages. In addition to Ohio State, I also provide care to patients at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
I serve as an investigator within the Aids Clinical Trial Group at Ohio State (ACTG). My research focuses on the management of HIV and associated comorbidities as well as HIV prevention.
My patients can rely on me for high quality, compassionate care and honest communication in every encounter. I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of skilled experts to ensure each patient receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs and values.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities and research, I am dedicated to mentoring future physicians. I am an assistant clinical professor of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Bredehoeft has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
