Biography

I am Courtney Keating, MSN, APRN-CNP, a board-certified nurse practitioner and advanced practice registered nurse (APRN-CNP) in the Department of Palliative Medicine –at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I provide palliative medicine nursing care including pain and symptom management, and supportive care for patients living with serious and chronic illnesses. My practice focuses on helping patients and families navigate complex decision-making, have goals-of-care discussions, and manage their symptoms to improve quality of life.

I provide compassionate, patient-centered care that addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychological impact of serious illness. I work closely with patients and their loved ones to develop care plans that reflect their values, goals, and individual needs.

I am passionate about helping patients find comfort, maintain dignity, and achieve the best possible quality of life throughout their care journey.

In addition to palliative medicine, my clinical background includes pain management, pediatrics, psychiatry and critical care. I draw on this multidisciplinary experience to provide well-rounded care that supports the unique needs of each patient and family. I strive to ensure every patient feels heard, supported, and empowered.

I earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Mount Carmel College of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio. I am certified as a family nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. What I find most rewarding is being part of a team so deeply committed to compassion and excellence while supporting patients and families during some of life's most challenging moments.
