Biography
I am Dane McLoughlin, DO, and I specialize in vascular and interventional radiology, including minimally invasive and endovascular procedures, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. My practice focuses on delivering image-guided treatments and personalized care for a wide range of vascular and nonvascular conditions.
I strive to provide high-quality, evidence-based care while taking an individualized approach to each patient. I believe in treating patients with empathy and engaging in shared decision-making to develop care plans that align with their goals and needs. By combining advanced imaging techniques with minimally invasive therapies, I work to offer effective treatment options that can reduce recovery time and improve outcomes.
My clinical interests include endovascular interventions, image-guided biopsy, diagnostic imaging and minimally invasive procedures for conditions such as deep vein thrombosis, biliary tract diseases, vascular diseases, liver cancer, liver cirrhosis, benign prostatic hyperplasia and uterine fibroids.
I completed my General Radiology residency at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and I am originally from Columbus. It is an honor to serve the community where I grew up and to help patients access innovative, compassionate care close to home.

Academics and research
I am Dane McLoughlin, DO, assistant professor in the Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and I specialize in interventional radiology, minimally invasive procedures and endovascular interventions. My research focuses on advancing image-guided treatments and evaluating innovative approaches that improve patient outcomes through minimally invasive care.
My work centers on the study of interventional radiology techniques and endovascular therapies, with an emphasis on developing and refining procedures that can reduce treatment burden while enhancing effectiveness and recovery. Through collaborative research, I seek to expand the evidence base for minimally invasive interventions and identify new opportunities to improve the delivery of care.
I completed a residency in General Radiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine , where I developed a strong foundation in diagnostic and image-guided medicine. My research interests continue to focus on advancing the science and practice of interventional radiology through innovation, collaboration and clinical investigation.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dane McLoughlin has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
