Biography
I’m proud to lead the Division of Neuroradiology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I provide strategic leadership for our clinical, educational and research missions, and work to advance innovative imaging techniques that improve patient care.
As a board-certified neuroradiologist, I specialize in diagnosing and treating patients for various conditions impacting the brain, spine, head and neck. I use a range of diagnostic imaging tools, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) scans, to ensure patients receive accurate diagnoses and the most appropriate care to support their unique needs.
In addition to diagnostic imaging, I perform image-guided percutaneous procedures to diagnose and treat conditions of the neck and spine. My role further includes serving on multidisciplinary tumor boards at the OSUCCC – James, including the Head and Neck, Brain, and Spine boards. I collaborate closely with surgeons, oncologists and other specialists to optimize patient care.
I have co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles, abstracts and book chapters and have been an invited lecturer at multiple national meetings. I have also served for many years on the American College of Radiology Expert Panel on Neurologic Imaging, co-writing evidence-based consensus statements that guide imaging utilization across the United States.
I am also passionate about helping to educate and mentor the next generation of neuroradiologists. I am an associate clinical professor of Radiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I also serve as director of the Neuroradiology and Advanced Neuroradiology fellowship programs.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring many outdoor activities around Columbus.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Boulter has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
