Biography

I became a critical care surgeon because I love that I have the opportunity to improve the quality of life for my patients. I specialize in acute care surgery, trauma surgery, hernia surgery and lymphedema surgery.

The most common conditions I treat include hernia issues, gallbladder problems and bowel obstructions. My research is focused on strategies to improve traumatic brain injury care. I’m also dedicated to advancing lymphedema procedures. For example, I co-designed and co-performed an innovative lymphedema operation called 'vascularized jejunal mesenteric lymph node transfer.'

I love working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center because of the opportunities to advance surgical care and medical education. In my role, I also help to train medical students on acute care surgery.

In my free time, I love to hang out with my amazing kids. I also enjoy reading and playing sports.
