About Me
I became a critical care surgeon because I love that I have the opportunity to improve the quality of life for my patients. I specialize in acute care surgery, trauma surgery, hernia surgery and lymphedema surgery.
The most common conditions I treat include hernia issues, gallbladder problems and bowel obstructions. My research is focused on strategies to improve traumatic brain injury care. I’m also dedicated to advancing lymphedema procedures. For example, I co-designed and co-performed an innovative lymphedema operation called “vascularized jejunal mesenteric lymph node transfer.”
I love working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center because of the opportunities to advance surgical care and medical education. In my role, I also help to train medical students on acute care surgery.
In my free time, I love to hang out with my amazing kids. I also enjoy reading and playing sports.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
