About Me
As a physiatrist, I specialize in prescribing mobility equipment and managing long-term rehabilitation needs. I’m passionate about my work because I believe in improving my patients' lives through creative solutions. My goal is to find the best fitting and functioning mobility equipment for each of my patients. As a strong believer in the importance of providing passionate healthcare, I also ensure the highest quality of individualized rehabilitation regimens and therapeutic modalities.
Mobility equipment is highly individualized depending on a patient’s needs. It has the potential to either significantly improve, if met properly, or significantly worsen a patient's health and quality of life. Therefore, it requires the same level of attention that’s used to prescribe medication or perform a medical procedure.
I enjoy working at the OSUCCC – James because of the collaborative environment and team approach to patient care. My colleagues are excellent at their jobs and fully embrace the patient-centered, multifaceted approach to problem solving, which provides our patients with the highest level of care.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Kim has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
All good
Good
There were only good experiences because he did his homework and knew the case. Gave hope of getting out of bed
Kind and explained things well
Dr Kim was engaged while he listened to me. He asked good questions, and it was clear to both my husband and I that he really wanted to help me. Dr Kim was very observant. He paid attention not only to my mobility needs, he was very observant watching me get up out of the chair in addition to how I walked. He was focused on me, and my care, from the moment he first saw me in the waiting room. ( He came out to the doorway, to call me back to the patient room.)
