Biography
I am David Li, MD. I am a board-certified nephrologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center specializing in cardio-renal-metabolic kidney disease and glomerulonephritis diseases.
I chose a career in medicine to help people through some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives. I understand that receiving a kidney diagnosis can be frightening for patients, and I am dedicated to supporting them and their families by providing high-quality, compassionate, evidence-based care.
I chose academic medicine and the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center because of the opportunity to work alongside expert specialists who push me to be a better physician. I am also passionate about medical education, and it’s an honor to help educate the next generation of physicians.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, David Li has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
