About Me
David A. Orsinelli, MD, FACC, is a cardiologist and professor of clinical medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Orsinelli earned his medical degree from the St. Louis University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, R.I., and completed a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, Mass.
Dr. Orsinelli is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Society of Echocardiography, American College of Physicians and the American Heart Association. He has been active on several committees of the American Society of Echocardiography and is currently serving his second term as a Board of Trustees member of the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Orsinelli has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and co-authored several book chapters. He has given multiple presentations at local, regional and national cardiology conferences.
Dr. Orsinelli was named one of America’s Best Doctors in 2009, and has received the Charles F. Wooley Transmission of Excellence Teaching Award from The Ohio State University Division of Cardiovascular Medicine on two occasions. His clinical interests include echocardiography, TEE and stress echo.
