Biography

I am Delvise Fogwe, MD, a gastroenterologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I provide comprehensive gastroenterology care, including evaluation and management of acid reflux, abdominal pain, constipation, and diarrhea, with a particular clinical and academic focus on hereditary gastrointestinal cancer syndromes, colorectal polyps, and polyposis syndromes.

My endoscopic practice includes diagnostic upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, with a special interest in polypectomy techniques, including endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), for complex colorectal polyps. I care for patients with serrated polyposis syndrome and genetic conditions that increase the risk of gastrointestinal cancers, with an emphasis on integrating genetic risk assessment and endoscopic evaluation to develop personalized surveillance and cancer prevention strategies.

I chose medicine because I wanted to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, particularly during vulnerable moments. Gastroenterology appealed to me because it combines procedural care with opportunities to prevent disease and detect gastrointestinal cancers early.

I value careful listening, shared decision-making, and multidisciplinary collaboration. My goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based, personalized care while helping patients understand their conditions and take a proactive approach to gastrointestinal health and cancer prevention.
