About Me

As an anesthesiologist, I have a unique role of establishing patient confidence in a relatively short period of time and providing care during their surgical procedures. I specialize in neuroanesthesiology, general anesthesiology and airway management. My research interests include graduate medical education and massive transfusion protocols.

My favorite part about working at Ohio State is the opportunity to train residents and provide excellent patient care to the central Ohio community.

When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and playing tennis.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 12/20/2018, Dr. Rankin has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
