Biography

I chose to specialize in endocrinology because of the unique opportunity to help a wide variety of patients take control of their chronic symptoms. With proper management and follow-up, patients with common conditions like diabetes and thyroid disease can avoid complications and maintain a higher quality of life for the long-term. I enjoy developing relationships with my patients and their families, and it’s a privilege to help them reach their wellness goals.

In my role at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I specialize in treating endocrine disorders in patients who have undergone solid organ transplants. I also regularly perform thyroid nodule biopsies and manage the hormonal side effects that nodules can cause, and I help patients maintain their bone health.

Ohio State is special because of the access to specialists at the top of their respective fields, who have the expertise to treat the rarest and most complicated cases. I’m proud to work with such an exceptional multidisciplinary team to deliver the best care possible for our patients. I also appreciate the emphasis on medical education here at Ohio State. I instruct medical students who join me during clinical hours, and I deliver lectures as part of the endocrinology curriculum at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Outside of work, I love taking my two young children to the zoo, the pool and the park. I also enjoy listening to audiobooks and gardening.

My experience with Dr. Schneider as a provider far exceeds all other experiences with ANY other endocrinologist or other type of provider at OSU or any other healthcare organization. Symptoms of my disease have changed over time in a way that I could never truly understand nor could any other provider explain to me. Dr. Schneider was the first provider to explain the symptoms, why they occurred, and how to potentially rectify them using both medications as well as physical and nutritional changes in lifestyle.. He communicates extremely well and appears to have solid problem solving skills. He is empathetic, direct, and professional. I hope to have him as a provider forever.

He was well aware of my concerns and condition and explained everything, I was very impressed with him he actually went through my Family History and didn't dismiss me like so many other Doctors in my past!

Outstanding! Was worth the wait to see him!
