Glaucoma is my specialty within ophthalmology. Over the years, I have seen a variety of patients from diverse backgrounds and cultures. This gives me a unique perspective. My glaucoma patients are why I decided to specialize in glaucoma. I saw them often and developed a strong bond.
Although there isn't a cure, glaucoma can be managed very well.
This is a very exciting and innovative time in glaucoma. The development of minimally invasive glaucoma surgery has opened up many new options for treating glaucoma, several of which can be done during cataract surgery. We can discuss if you are a candidate for these procedures.
I'm concerned about each patient as a person and with their overall medical health. I give each patient my utmost attention. I also believe in educating my patients and really making them a part of their healthcare management. We work together as a team.
It's great to be a part of Ohio State. It is an amazing academic institution. We're always striving to develop new techniques to better understand and manage different types of glaucoma.

I have utmost repsect for Dr Fleming, her knowledge and care about others. Sometimes I get tired of waiting just to see her, but realize that she is spending time with another person to best help them, which I appreciate when she makes time to discuss a status for me with me. Shes all about fighting this disease.
She was and is always informative and explains what and why she is doing what she does.

Dr Flemming has demonstrated a great deal of professionalism and expertiise in explaining the procedures associated with my mom's sight. She has provided responses to questions in which we have phoned in for clarification pertaining to next steps. She's been very accommodating as both my parents have faced multiple medical emergirnces within the last few months as we navigate a new stage for them. She diligently reviews test results and verifies previous medical information from additional providers. She provides the options with explanation so a patient can participate in the plan moving forward.

The provider is very knowledgeable. But she is there to do a job and thats it. She is very quick in and out. Seems frustrated to answer questions or be about the patient. I have seen her more than this time and she is the same everytime.
