A nurse practitioner is extensively trained to treat illness or disease and to prescribe medication to their patients. They work on teams with a licensed physician, but can treat patients with significant autonomy. She listened to my concerns and gave me the information that I needed to take care of some of my concerns.
Provider and I seem to have similar values, and I was able to be very open with her during our session without fear.
