About Me
I am a board-certified neurologist and vascular neurologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I specialize in stroke and cerebrovascular diseases. As a health services researcher I study how to optimize care systems, and I try to incorporate that perspective into my clinical care — considering the costs, harms and inconveniences of medical care as well as the benefits of care. Similarly, given that much medical care is of modest net benefit, I try to understand patient values and figure out how to make the right decision for different patients based on their values.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Burke has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
